Fludioxonil is a non-systemic phenylpyrrole fungicide derived from pyrrolnitrin. It inhibits regulatory protein kinase signaling in glycerol synthesis, causing osmotic stress and fungal cell rupture. It controls Botrytis, Fusarium, and Rhizoctonia on fruit, seed treatments, and vegetables. Its structure features a pyrrole ring substituted with a difluorobenzodioxole core.
