Ketoprofen is a propionic acid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It non-selectively inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, suppressing prostaglandin synthesis to relieve pain, fever, and inflammation. It treats rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and acute pain. Its chemical structure consists of a benzoylphenyl-propionic acid framework.
