Tricyclazole is a systemic triazolobenzothiazole fungicide. It acts as a melanin biosynthesis inhibitor (MBI-D) by blocking 1,3,8-trihydroxynaphthalene reductase, preventing appressorium melanization and crop penetration. It controls rice blast (Magnaporthe oryzae). Its structure features a fused triazolobenzothiazole ring system.
